Petal - Girls Club: Where the Bloom Begins

As our core membership platform and primary entry point, the Petal - Girls Club is a safe, neuro-affirming community designed specifically for girls aged 15 to 25. Petal - Girls Club blends Girls Empowerment Courses with indoor workshops and outdoor experiential learning. Through these targeted programs, we build communication, resilience, and practical life skills, ultimately expanding into immersive camp-based retreats that foster deep peer connection and supported independence.

  • Empowering Courses: Building confidence, self-advocacy, and identity.
  • Indoor & Outdoor Activities: Experiential learning that translates into practical, everyday life skills.
  • Immersive Retreats: Camp-based experiences designed to foster deep friendships and independence in a supportive environment.

The Petal approach in practice

From understanding needs to practising together

Every girl moves at her own pace. Petal - Girls Club starts with community, practical life skills and mentor support, valuing girls’ voices while building understanding with the caregivers around them.

From self-understanding to self-advocacy

Empowerment courses and community interaction encourage girls to explore their interests, strengths and needs, practise expressing choices, ask for help and set boundaries. Independence can begin with one small decision.

Practising life skills in real situations

Indoor workshops and outdoor experiences create opportunities to practise communication, cooperation and planning everyday activities. When discussing executive function, our focus is on turning a goal into understandable, manageable steps.

Respecting feelings and ways of participating

Understanding sensory differences, emotions and social needs helps us discuss suitable participation arrangements. Tell us about a girl’s preferences and needs when enquiring so we can explore whether current activities are a good fit.

Connecting the people around her

Mentors, caregivers and teachers all form part of a circle of support. Parent and teacher training focuses on understanding differences and everyday responses, helping learning extend into home, school and community life.

At Petal, girls can build connections and express choices at their own pace. Those who wish to explore their learning, feelings or everyday needs further can also enquire about professional assessment and counselling.
